The Position:

The position of a Mortgage Call Center Specialist is to promote Point Mortgage through phone calls. The specialist will use a script to call prospects, past prospects and set appointments for them to meet with our sales team so that they can learn more. This role involves soliciting, scheduling, and confirming appointments with one of our Loan Officers.

Requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Contact 75-100 leads per day from lead database Velocify
  • Maintain a follow up system for any hot leads
  • Set appointments with interested borrowers to talk to one of Loan Officers
  • Send a daily call report with results to management
  • Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information
  • You must be able to understand the customer's requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs
  • Maintain the highest level of business and professional ethics and practices and strictly avoid any form of loan fraud or any other variation of fraudulent, illegal or unfair dealings
  • Attract new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community and making sales calls to prospective clients
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality
  • Continue education to remain compliant with NMLS requirements
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by management

Performance Expectations

  • Manage large amounts of outboard and inbound calls in a timely manner
  • Follow scripts when handling different topics and call types
  • Identify which clients to send back to existing loan officers
  • Build and strengthen the company’s relationship with clients
  • Keep records of all conversations in our call center database software in a comprehensible way
  • Attend any educational seminars assigned to improve knowledge of our product
  • Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets

Qualifications:

  • NMLS licensed is a plus but not required
  • Experience working with Velocify is a plus but not required
  • Proven experience as a telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of basic Office software, including Word, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
